2021 was the beginning of a new story around the world, and our property in the Mexican Caribbean could not be left behind. Therefore, we have embarked on a renovation and embellishment process that will put Fairmont Mayakoba in the eyes of all those luxury travelers seeking paradise and the vacation of a lifetime.
Wondering what is new? Back in October, we concluded the first stage of this process, and we couldn’t be any happier than what we envisioned was exactly what our guests needed. As soon as our guests step into our oasis, they experience a modern and chic motor lobby and reception area, where our Heartists are ready to give them a warm and cozy welcome to their Mexican home in the jungle because we know that first impressions are only given once.
Immersed in nature, take a glance at the Mayan jungle from our revamped Hix Bar & Lobby Lounge. This space is a mix of a stylish bar with two jaguars that guard the Mayan Heritage we carry around the property. The new design was inspired by the surrounding nature and the mangrove predominant in the area.
Hix’s menu couldn´t be left behind. With new décor comes better and improved dining options. Experience the best sushi in town with magnificent and fresh cocktails specially designed for Hix.
Tauro, our new baby. We are so proud so this new concept we have developed—an authentic American Steakhouse with the coldest martinis in the Riviera Maya. Tauro is a fine dining steakhouse with a sophisticated atmosphere featuring Mexican ingredients with classic steakhouse techniques and recipes rooted in excellence and authenticity. It sources the best cuts and vegetables, elevating them with well-seasoned and intensely flavored sauces. Tauro features an in-house dry-aging program, raw bar, and prime cuts.
