Precautions and measurements
You mustn’t focus on the exact forecast track of the storm. Forecast movement, direction, and speed are only estimates. Even minor errors in the forecast track can mean significant differences in where the worst conditions will occur. Damaging effects can extend far from the center of the storm.
What to do and what to expect during the storm
Now it is time to prepare. Please do not wait until it is too late. Instead, stay calm and keep informed. Closely monitor radio or other local news outlets for official storm information. Listen for warnings or changes to the forecast. Loose objects, garbage cans, and other items should be secured or stored indoors. Be ready for unexpected power outages. During the storm, you will experience heavy rainfall that may lead to increased surges from the ocean combined with flooding in our mangroves.
Heed the advice of local officials, hotel staff, and comply with our orders. Our resort is well prepared to handle storm conditions and has activated all preparation plans to ensure that the guests and hotel are safe and secure.
