Fairmont Mayakoba hosted an exclusive 2023 pride celebration in its first edition!
The Fairmont brand believes that our differences makes us stronger. That is why in Pride month, the Riviera Maya encountered the first luxury PRIDE celebration the destination has seen. It took place on June 8th, 2023 and guests, a wide range of social media influencers, as well as members of the LGBTQ community were invited to “Raise the Pride”. This memorable pride celebration took place at the resort’s traditional Mexican Town Square – El Pueblito – and included an array of specially crafted cocktails and a special menu curated from this special occasion.
The parties theme was monochromatic dress – magenta pink- and featured entertainment kept the party pumping throughout the evening. In addition to Fairmont Mayakoba, sponsors of the pride party include Moet Chandon, Casa Dragones, Sarao, Musik Entertainment, Airstar, Rubious Bar Movil, Gallo Amarillo, Pyrotech, Blue Chocolat, Encore, and Queer Weddings Mexico.

LGBTQ Pride Month, typically June, is dedicated to celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ) pride. Pride Month began after the Stonewall riots, a series of gay liberation protests which took place in New York City in 1969. Today, pride celebrations are held globally through June each year and they are a vital celebration for the LGBTQ community and its many supporters.
